Its been a long time since I've posted. Sometime around May 15th I got on the scale and to my horror I weighed in at 215lbs. I guess the happy and in love was helping me stay in bed instead of stay on the treadmill. My girl is fit and it was pretty horrifiying to think that I weighted 80lbs more than she did. It grossed me out.
But the good news is that she is super supportive and helped me get on track. She encourages me everyday to do something good for myself. The day after memorial day we went on a diet change together.
I'm happy to say that in six weeks I've lost 23 lbs and I'm down to 192. It really hasn't been that difficult to tell you the truth. I've been eating at home more, since I also got a new job much closer to home, and we make dinner and breakfast almost everyday. My secret is to make sure I eat breakfast everyday. It really helps me control my cravings and I also drink a lot of Diet Rootbeer because its refreshing and taste sweet even though its not at all.
I'm also running a ton. I've commited to running the marathon here in Detroit on my quest to become a runner. I think my commitment to running helps my diet more since I can feel the difference in my body if I am not eating lightly. The marathon is happening there is no option. The weight is just falling off as part of it.
I was feeling scared of my pending plateau. Not that it is happening now or that I've quit losing weight. I just figured getting my thoughts down might help me stay on track.
Things I can control:
1. What I eat, how I eat
2. running
3. staying focused on doing the right things and the weight loss comes
4. Staying focused on doing the right things and the finish line will come.
I feel better.
